Financial Accounting Associate (Payroll, Leases, Fixed Assets, Intangibles)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Financial Accounting Associate in its Payroll, Leases, Fixed Assets and Intangibles team in Bratislava. You will support accurate and timely accounting for Swiss Re entities within a global GLAS Operations environment, contributing to day-to-day accounting and monthly close tasks. The role is temporary, on a 1-year contract, with a hybrid model of at least three days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review accounting postings and prepare reconciliations
• Perform basic analyses and support audit and control activities in line with IFRS and internal policies
• Work with SAP and related tools, deepening knowledge across payroll, leasing, fixed assets, intangible asset accounting, taxes and intercompany recharges
• Collaborate with team members, team leads and other Finance stakeholders in an international environment

Required profile

• Foundational background in accounting or finance, motivated to develop skills across payroll, leases, fixed assets and intangible accounting
• Comfortable following defined processes and working with accounting systems such as SAP, delivering tasks accurately and on time in a monthly close environment
• Good attention to detail, structured approach, willingness to learn and take feedback
• Able to perform reconciliations and basic analyses, understand control and quality requirements and escalate issues when needed
• Clear communication and teamwork with colleagues and stakeholders across different locations

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 1,400 to EUR 2,400 per month for a full-time role, depending on profile and experience
