Accountant – Bratislava

About the role

Innovatrics develops biometric technologies used in elections, border control, digital identity and secure onboarding in more than 80 countries. Its Finance team supports international operations, and this accountant role offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities alongside experienced finance colleagues in a growing tech company. The position is based in Bratislava with a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage double-entry bookkeeping, credit and debit card settlements and supplier invoices
• Process and track invoices, ensure accurate cost allocation and support VAT compliance
• Work with the Chief Accountant and Financial Controller on reporting and operational finance tasks
• Supervise automated document processing: review AI-extracted data from supplier invoices and receipts, resolve exceptions and check records before posting
• Within the first year, take ownership of selected accounting processes and reporting, and help design rules and controls for a move toward a digital, AI-assisted workflow

Required profile

• At least 1 year of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping under Slovak legislation (knowledge of Czech accounting legislation is a plus)
• Clear understanding of VAT regulations and related accounting processes
• Comfortable working with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) and automated document-capture systems
• Independent and collaborative worker with good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Fluent English

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software; ability to adapt quickly to new ones
• Double-entry bookkeeping under Slovak law

• Gross salary of EUR 1,400 to 2,100 per month, depending on level, skills, experience and location
