Business Process & Governance Manager - International Programs

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Business Process & Governance Manager for its International Programs (IP) portfolio within Corporate Solutions (CorSo). The role leads process improvement and change initiatives, working at the intersection of business strategy, operations and technology, and helps shape how the business moves into a tech-enabled future.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process transformation, from identifying and designing improvements to implementation and handover to business-as-usual.
• Coordinate and lead change initiatives, keeping cross-functional stakeholders aligned and engaged.
• Translate business policies and underwriting requirements into operational solutions, working with Technology teams on tooling for rule management and automation.
• Build and improve governance frameworks, controls, ownership structures and accountability models.
• Conduct impact assessments, analyse operational data and surface optimisation opportunities.
• Support the adoption of AI-enabled and automation capabilities with governance, risk and transparency built in.
• Maintain documentation, process ownership and performance monitoring, and collaborate across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance and regional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading process improvement or redesign initiatives in complex, cross-functional settings.
• Demonstrated experience leading organisational or operational change, including stakeholder engagement and resistance management.
• Ability to turn business needs into operational and technical solutions and to work with technology teams.
• Strong analytical thinking, workshop facilitation and presentation skills to senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automation, digital workflows, AI-enabled solutions or business rules engines.
• Experience in multinational insurance operations, International Programs or Corporate Solutions.
• Experience building governance models, operating frameworks or centres of excellence.

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 3,200 to EUR 5,300 per month, depending on profile and role scope.
