Senior Software Engineer - Webex Web Client

About the role

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for its Webex Web Client, based in Bratislava. The team builds collaboration products such as Webex Meetings, Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center, and works in a hybrid model. The engineer designs and delivers full-stack features used by millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver full-stack features, writing clean, secure and maintainable code.
• Debug, test and fix issues in development and production environments.
• Work with engineers, product managers and designers, and collaborate with Product/UX teams on customer-facing features.
• Help lead operations of web applications, including deployment, telemetry, monitoring and maintenance of distributed systems.
• Shape the web application's architecture, contribute to multi-team design evaluations and help lead open-source and SDK contributions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, documentation and other programs, and use AI to speed up delivery.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining client-facing applications in production.
• Strong knowledge of software fundamentals and architecture, with understanding of monitoring production systems and validating software at scale.
• Clear communication, attention to detail and flexibility in diverse teams.

Required skills

• Preferred: TypeScript, JavaScript, modern C++, Swift, Java, C#, React, Angular, UIKit/SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose.
• Optional backend: Java (Spring), Node.js, Python; RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Unit, integration and end-to-end testing, including contract testing and CI pipeline automation.
• Git, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines; cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Bonus: open-source contributions, WebRTC or SIP, and design system development.

The starting salary range is EUR 40,900 to EUR 57,900, depending on location, experience and qualifications.
