Senior AI Enablement Software Engineer

About the role

ESET is looking for a Senior AI Enablement Software Engineer in Bratislava to turn AI from a promise into measurable impact. The role builds the configurations, tooling and patterns that let delivery teams plug AI into their daily work, and leads the mentoring classes and training sessions that spread that capability across the organization. It suits a senior engineer who enjoys deep technical work and helping teams adopt AI.

Key responsibilities

• Configure repositories for AI: design, build and roll out repeatable configurations (rules, instructions, context files, MCP/tool integrations, CI hooks) across a large repository estate.
• Develop internal AI-powered apps for software engineering: tools, assistants, dashboards and workflow integrations for development, testing, code review, documentation and repository maintenance.
• Deliver end-to-end, production-ready setups that teams can adopt without rebuilding them.
• Scale enablement through automation, self-service tooling and reusable playbooks so many teams can be onboarded efficiently.
• Run workshops, talks, demos and hands-on clinics for engineers of all seniority levels.
• Partner with delivery teams within PI constraints, unblock adoption and tailor solutions to each team's stack.
• Define adoption and productivity metrics, track progress and report results to engineering leadership.
• Act as the internal AI advocate, evaluating new tooling and setting standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive hands-on senior-level software engineering experience across multiple languages, stacks and repository setups.
• Practical experience configuring and using AI coding assistants and agentic developer tooling in real codebases.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills, and proven ability to mentor and upskill engineers.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Nice to have: large-scale developer enablement, platform engineering or DevEx experience, SAFe / PI planning experience, scripting and automation for mass repository operations, and a track record of public speaking or technical content creation.

Required skills

• Solid Git, CI/CD and developer-tooling/automation background.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives across many teams.

• Basic wage from 3,500 EUR gross per month, with possible increase based on skills and experience.
