Senior Product Owner - International Business (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Senior Product Owner for its International Business, based in Bratislava on a hybrid basis. You will lead a focused product backlog or value stream, champion the customer's voice and balance strategy, technical reality and business value, working closely with squads, stakeholders and Product Area Leads.

Key responsibilities

• Set and communicate a clear product vision that prioritises work within resources, strategy and compliance
• Incubate and commercialise innovative solutions using data and validation techniques such as demos, usability testing and A/B testing
• Co-create and prioritise product roadmaps and squad backlogs with iterative techniques and continuous feedback
• Keep the backlog transparent and align squads with stakeholders
• Create business cases with financial forecasts, market segmentation and a clear value proposition
• Manage technical debt alongside customer value work, with shared accountability with the Product Area Lead
• Champion the customer's voice, foster cross-squad cooperation and remove impediments
• Support on-budget delivery with clear scope, timelines and acceptance criteria
• Build products within an existing business model and help track KPI data with internal experts

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar, with a track record of managing and prioritising backlogs in an agile environment
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing, usability testing and demos to validate product decisions
• Experience in business case development, including financial forecasting, market segmentation and value propositions
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships across multiple levels
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience in squad-based or scaled agile delivery

Nice to have

• Insurance, reinsurance or financial services experience
• Familiarity with ADO, Confluence or similar tools
• Knowledge of KPI development and performance measurement frameworks
• English proficiency; additional languages are a plus

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of 3,300 to 5,400 EUR per month for a full-time role, depending on profile and requirements
