Enterprise Architect - AI

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for an Enterprise Architect to join its Group Enterprise Architecture function in Bratislava and help build AI solutions that are scalable, responsible and built to last. The role sits at the heart of the company's AI transformation, covering target architectures, delivery outcomes, enablement capabilities and governance across strategic transformation initiatives in reinsurance.

Key responsibilities

• Shape AI evolution and target architecture by working with business areas and Domains on use cases, roadmaps, blueprints and transition plans
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures across business, application, data, model, integration, security, evaluation, observability and production deployment
• Translate business strategy into coherent AI architectures and promote standardization, simplification and reuse, including build-versus-buy assessments
• Act as Enterprise Architect on selected AI programs, taking architecture responsibility from strategy through to production readiness and operational ownership
• Review design decisions, support program leaders in managing architecture risks and dependencies, and contribute to architecture enablement and standards
• Drive architecture governance and Design Authority, including review criteria, gates, quality assurance and compliance
• Ensure AI solutions address responsible AI, privacy, security, model risk, human oversight, auditability and regulatory risk
• Maintain the AI inventory and collaborate with Domain Architects, business stakeholders and technology teams

Required profile

• Previous experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, technology architecture or transformation roles in complex, matrixed or global organizations
• Proven experience defining and delivering target architectures for complex projects or transformations
• Demonstrated experience engaging business and technology stakeholders, including senior ones
• Nice to have: degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Required skills

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing production-grade AI solutions beyond prompt-only agents, including LLMs, RAG, embeddings/vector search, agents and tool use, and AI evaluation
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models, operating models, standards, principles, reference architectures and design authority processes
• Nice to have: MLOps/LLMOps, AI security and privacy patterns, observability, model monitoring, architecture inventories and relevant AI, cloud, data, security or architecture certifications

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 2,200 to EUR 3,700 per month for a full-time role, depending on profile and scope
