Data Scientist – Clinical Data Sciences

About the role

Premier Research is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Clinical Data Sciences team. You will support biotech, medtech and specialty pharma clients in transforming innovative ideas into new medicines, devices and diagnostics, contributing directly to medical breakthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with internal and external project team members, including data source vendors.
• Contribute to study team discussions, meeting agendas, attendance and documentation of minutes.
• Facilitate clinical database development, eCRF planning, edit‑check design, User Acceptance Testing and coordination of external data sources.
• Participate in early study risk assessment and continuously evaluate data risks throughout the study.
• Lead communications with data team members to ensure tasks are aligned with study plans and timelines.
• Create, maintain and store data‑related documentation according to departmental procedures.
• Perform functional area eTMF filing, quality‑control activities and oversee the study budget for the functional area.
• Generate, review and report study metrics and financials as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Life Science.
• 4‑6 years of experience in Data Management or a related industry, with 0‑2 years leading studies.
• Experience with at least two clinical data management systems and deep knowledge of one (e.g., Medidata Rave or DataLabs EDC).
• Familiarity with all study phases – startup, database set‑up, maintenance and lock.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment and the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
