Medical Science Liaison – Hematology, Rare Diseases & Transplantation

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison will act as the scientific authority for Takeda’s Hematology, Rare Diseases and Transplantation portfolio across Slovakia, fostering high‑quality, compliant medical exchanges with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement territory‑specific scientific engagement plans aligned with launch goals and therapeutic strategy.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with KOLs, treatment centres, professional societies and patient organisations.
• Capture, structure and relay field insights to guide medical strategy and evidence‑generation plans.
• Support medical launch activities, lifecycle management, and provide scientific review of promotional and non‑promotional materials.
• Oversee local educational and promotional activities, including CRM approval of Fair Market Value for speakers and adaptation of global materials for the Slovak market.
• Collaborate with R&D, market access, HEOR, commercial and patient support teams on clinical trial support, investigator‑initiated research and evidence generation.

Required profile

• Field‑based scientific expertise in Hematology, Rare Diseases and Transplantation.
• Ability to communicate scientific value propositions in patient‑focused, accessible terms.
• Experience managing compliance, audit readiness and SOP implementation for medical activities.
• Proven capability to work autonomously while receiving functional supervision from a Field Medical Advisor.
