Patient Recruitment Manager

About the role

The Patient Recruitment Manager leads the development and execution of patient recruitment, retention and compliance strategies for Fortrea’s clinical study portfolio. Acting as the subject‑matter expert, the manager works closely with project teams, vendors and sponsors to ensure recruitment targets are met throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own recruitment, retention and compliance strategies for new study opportunities, contributing to proposals and bid defenses.
• Manage vendor RFP processes, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts and approve invoices.
• Develop study‑specific recruitment and retention plans, including trigger points, contingency plans and performance metrics.
• Monitor scope, budget and timelines for recruitment activities, providing regular reports and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for recruitment/retention issues, escalating vendor performance concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with clients on recruitment strategy presentations, performance metrics and contingency planning.

Required profile

• University degree in life sciences or related health field; postgraduate preferred.
• 3–5 years of clinical research experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Strong knowledge of ICH‑GCP guidelines and the clinical trial lifecycle.
• Proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
• Experience with patient recruitment tactics and client‑facing activities.
