Global Billing Analyst

About the role

Freshfields is looking for a Global Billing Analyst in Bratislava to join its large global billing team, split across the firm's Global centres. You will help keep the billing cycle running smoothly, supporting the firm's financial health and client satisfaction. The role takes ownership of one or more key areas such as order processing, billing, payment collections, accounts receivable and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage billing transactions so that orders, client bills, invoices, credit memos and receipts are recorded and processed accurately and on time.
• Act as a liaison between the team, personal assistants, partners and clients to handle billing and payment inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assess client creditworthiness, set credit limits and manage the credit approval process.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and disputes.
• Generate and analyse financial reports such as audit reports, aging reports, cash flow forecasts and collection reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and firm policies, keep accurate documentation, and identify improvements to billing processes.
• Train new team members on processes as required.

Required profile

• Fluent English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, sometimes at short notice.
• Ability to communicate with partners, executive assistants and other colleagues.
• Effective time management, result focus and a curious, improvement-minded approach.
