EHS Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

Join Magna Electronics' automotive manufacturing team as an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer. You will help create a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace while supporting the company’s safety culture and compliance with legal and corporate EHS requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and improve EHS management systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Collaborate with production, management and cross‑functional teams on EHS initiatives.
• Develop and update EHS procedures, work instructions and related documentation.
• Plan and deliver EHS, fire protection and environmental training for employees, contractors and managers.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Support internal, customer and certification audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949).
• Coordinate occupational health activities, including preventive medical examinations.
• Review new projects, machinery and chemicals from an EHS perspective.
• Prepare EHS reports, statistics and presentations for management.
• Promote continuous improvement, 5S implementation and strengthen safety culture.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Good understanding of EHS legislation and occupational health & safety principles.
• Analytical, organized and effective communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and in a team.
