Mechanical Designer – Automated Woodworking Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to support the development, production and assembly of turnkey automated lines and handling systems for the woodworking industry. You will work closely with engineering, production and sales teams to turn customer requirements into detailed technical documentation and functional solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in technical negotiations and prepare preliminary plans, proposals and price offers for new projects.
• Create construction workshop drawings, technical documentation (operation manuals, maintenance instructions, spare‑part lists, lubrication schedules, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams).
• Produce detailed technological drawings for welds, castings, forgings, sheet‑metal parts, water‑jet, plasma and cutting plans, as well as heat‑treatment and surface‑treatment instructions.
• Use AutoCAD and Inventor to generate all required documentation.
• Prepare material and component lists, negotiate purchases with suppliers and support the procurement process.
• Assist during equipment production, installation at customer sites, commissioning, warranty and post‑warranty service.
• Collaborate with other departments, archive completed documentation and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) in engineering, technical design or a related field.
• Strong interest in industrial automation and woodworking systems.
