Data Governance Specialist (80-100%)

About the role

Swiss Re's Group Data Services organisation is looking for a motivated junior professional interested in Data Governance, based in Bratislava. You will help strengthen the Group Data Governance Framework and support initiatives that implement it across the company, working with stakeholders to track progress and turn plans into results.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Data Governance standards, guidance, processes and related materials
• Contribute to initiatives on data ownership, data quality, metadata and data issue management
• Gather and analyse stakeholder input, document requirements and turn them into practical improvements
• Support planning and coordination of initiatives, including workplans, milestones, deliverables and follow-up actions
• Coordinate activities across business units and group functions, monitor progress, manage dependencies and risks, and update stakeholders and governance bodies
• Facilitate working groups, workshops and governance meetings, and prepare presentations and management updates for senior stakeholders
• Support communication, training and change activities to strengthen governance practices

Required profile

• Practical experience in Data Governance, Data Management or a closely related discipline, with an understanding of governance frameworks, processes and responsibilities
• Proven experience in projects or initiatives, including planning, coordination, stakeholder management and delivery tracking
• Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities with a focus on outcomes
• Clear communicator who can explain complex topics concisely
• Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and building effective relationships

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Eagerness to learn and advance Data Governance across Swiss Re
