Supplier Quality Specialist – External Manufacturing

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer supports complex and strategic projects that maintain and enhance Convatec’s Global Supplier Quality Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong quality partnerships with suppliers to ensure high performance and compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Support supplier selection, evaluation, qualification and approval processes.
• Lead investigations of supplier‑related quality issues, non‑conformances (NCs) and corrective‑preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Plan and conduct supplier audits, follow up on corrective actions and ensure effective resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and worldwide stakeholders to address quality challenges.
• Identify risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements in the medical device industry.
• Work according to ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP and EU MDR standards.
• Analyze quality data and trends to improve supplier performance and product quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Assurance.
• Background in medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
• Hands‑on experience with quality investigations, NCs, CAPAs and supplier corrective actions.
• Knowledge of supplier audits and supplier quality management.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device regulations.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working with systems such as SAP, TrackWise, Documentum or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
