Sourcing Project Manager

About the role

As a Sourcing Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving procurement excellence, delivering sustainable cost improvements, and supporting the success of Danfoss Power Solutions. Based in Považská Bystrica, Slovakia, you will work in a hybrid environment collaborating with a global procurement team and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing projects from planning through implementation to deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and successful business outcomes.
• Identify and develop cost‑reduction opportunities by leveraging supplier expertise, market insights, and strategic sourcing approaches.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure sourcing decisions align with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Manage project timelines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communication to keep initiatives on track.
• Build strong supplier relationships and drive collaboration for long‑term value creation and sustainable procurement performance.

Required profile

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or project management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Practical knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to suppliers and business leaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP ERP, and data analysis tools to support informed decision‑making.
