Software Engineer – Multiplatform Application Development

About the role

Actusmart is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to develop and enhance Android and cross‑platform applications that configure, diagnose, and monitor industrial actuator systems. You will work closely with firmware, hardware and product teams to deliver reliable, user‑friendly software for real‑world automation environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android and multiplatform applications for actuator configuration and service support.
• Implement intuitive front‑end interfaces for parameterisation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Build and optimise back‑end components, ensuring secure communication with cloud services and embedded devices.
• Enable offline functionality, data storage, synchronization and robust data handling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate device‑specific features and, optionally, AR‑based visualisation tools.
• Participate in testing, debugging, documentation and continuous improvement of the software platform.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in Android development and/or cross‑platform application development.
• Strong interest in industrial IoT, automation systems and connected devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills in English; Slovak or German is a plus.
