Service Disruption Manager – SAP Cloud Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP technology professional to lead our Service Disruption Management (SDM) team within SAP Global Cloud Operations. The role is responsible for handling major incidents and crises, ensuring rapid restoration of services and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident and crisis management, acting as primary escalation point during shifts and outside working hours.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and partners to resolve incidents and restore normal service operations.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for critical incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Define, track and achieve KPIs and SLAs related to incident and outage management.
• Mentor and develop the incident management team, fostering a collaborative high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of technical operations experience with SAP technologies (ABAP, Java, HANA, DB2, Basis, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience in incident, escalation and problem management within private or public cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive learning attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• ABAP, Java, SAP HANA, DB2, SAP Basis, SAP NetWeaver, Business Objects, SAP Sybase ASE.
• SAP Cloud Connector, S/4HANA.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• ITIL and PMP certifications (or equivalent).
