Product Owner Specialist for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement

About the role

Innovatrics is looking for a Product Owner Specialist to join the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Cluster. You will act as the bridge between the Solution Manager’s vision, engineering delivery and the revenue‑driving teams, helping shape biometric solutions used by police and investigative agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the roadmap into actionable epics, define scope and acceptance criteria together with engineering and platform teams.
• Write and maintain clear, testable project requirements that align customer needs with technical feasibility.
• Own day‑to‑day execution: backlog grooming, prioritisation, dependency tracking and removal of blockers.
• Support sales and marketing with solution collateral, demo scripts, feature briefs and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with presales on RFPs, POCs and customer‑specific configurations, including occasional travel to conferences and customer sites.
• Report regularly to the Solution Manager on delivery progress, risks and feedback loops.

Required profile

• Practical experience in product ownership or product management within an IT environment that uses agile delivery.
• Ability to turn customer needs and roadmap priorities into clear epics, user stories and testable acceptance criteria.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on tracking dependencies, raising risks and keeping stakeholders aligned.
• Willingness to learn criminal investigation workflows, biometric identification and the operational needs of law‑enforcement agencies.

Required skills

• Agile software delivery (backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritisation).
• Understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations and dependencies.
• Knowledge of biometric technologies such as fingerprint, face recognition or ABIS.
