Senior AI Engineer (m/f)

About the role

PwC's Advanced Technology Solutions team in Bratislava is hiring a Senior AI Engineer (m/f) to lead and contribute to AI and data science solutions for leading global clients. The role suits experienced developers and engineers who want to architect, build and deploy machine learning systems and AI-powered applications at scale, working directly with clients across Western Europe and the USA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions.
• Architect scalable applications using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, computer vision and data science techniques.
• Own technical solution design and guide implementation decisions across projects.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to understand business needs and shape AI solution roadmaps.
• Deliver production-ready AI systems with high engineering and quality standards.
• Mentor and support team members through technical leadership, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and ChatPwC to boost productivity and code quality.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in AI, machine learning or software engineering.
• Proven experience delivering solutions with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, machine learning or computer vision.
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining production-grade AI systems.
• Experience working with SQL databases and with clients, stakeholders and business users.
• Ability to mentor less experienced engineers and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English B2+.

Required skills

• Strong Python (e.g. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
• Understanding of the ML lifecycle: model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring
• Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, computer vision
