Data & AI Governance Consultant (German Projects)

About the role

PwC's Slovak team works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. As a Data & AI Governance Consultant within Technology Consulting (German Projects), you will work on transformational projects for clients in Germany, especially banks, insurance companies and investment firms. You will shape and embed the Data & AI operating model and governance framework, working with data owners, data stewards, platform teams and stakeholders so that data is managed as a strategic asset in line with regulatory, compliance and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, policies and standards
• Support the implementation of data stewardship and data ownership models across domains
• Drive adoption of data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation and Informatica
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and support audits or regulatory reporting
• Promote data literacy through training, documentation and community engagement
• Contribute to innovation management initiatives within the Data & AI organization
• Prepare presentations and reporting dashboards for senior stakeholders

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics, Data Management, Information Systems or a comparable field
• 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services, consulting, banking, payments, fintech or a related environment
• Experience designing or implementing Data & AI operating models and data governance frameworks
• Experience collaborating with data owners, stewards, business representatives and platform and engineering teams
• Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica or similar)
• Experience contributing to innovation initiatives within a Data & AI organization
• German at B2-C1 and English at C1 level in a professional environment
