Security Specialist

About the role

The Security Specialist will act as the technical subject‑matter expert for ESET’s Threat Intelligence services. Working from the Bratislava headquarters (or Brno), you will help customers and partners integrate, operationalise and automate threat intelligence data across their security stacks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep expertise in ESET’s threat intelligence platform, data feeds, APIs, TAXII/STIX services, MISP and OpenCTI.
• Assist customers and partners with integration, onboarding and operationalisation of threat intelligence into MISP, OpenCTI, SIEM, SOAR, TIP, XDR and custom security platforms.
• Provide guidance on data models, indicator schemas, confidence levels, contextual enrichment and tagging best practices.
• Create and maintain scripts, connectors and automation workflows for ingestion, enrichment and integration use cases.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Product Management, Engineering and Customer Success to improve integration capabilities and data delivery.
• Gather requirements and feedback, translating them into recommendations for new integrations, workflows and platform enhancements.
• Support troubleshooting of technical issues related to threat intelligence services.
• Contribute to documentation, technical enablement materials and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Threat Intelligence, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, Detection Engineering, SOC or a related cybersecurity field.
• Proven ability to work with customers and partners on technical integrations and deployments.
• Strong analytical mindset and up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging cyber threats and industry standards.

Required skills

• Experience with threat intelligence platforms such as MISP and OpenCTI.
• Familiarity with TAXII and STIX protocols and API integration.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR, TIP and XDR solutions.
• Scripting and automation workflow development.
• Understanding of indicator data models, enrichment and tagging methodologies.
