Engineer Traveller Support

About the role

As an Application Support Specialist you will ensure the stability, performance and evolution of Shift4's Traveller Solutions platforms, providing 2nd level support for Global Blue's Traveller Solutions and acting as the service owner and technical expert.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level support and become the Subject Matter Expert for a designated TravellerHost service.
• Monitor service health, enhance observability with Splunk and drive automation for deployments and maintenance.
• Plan, document and execute software releases and system changes across environments.
• Conduct impact assessments, support change management and collaborate with development teams and external partners on incident resolution.
• Create and maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, runbooks and improve monitoring and service reliability.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in application support, service operations or production support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural, distributed teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• MS SQL querying and database management.
• Development experience with C#.NET Core Web API, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, JSON, HTTPS.
• Understanding of web servers, web services and service‑oriented architecture.
• Monitoring tools, preferably Splunk.
• Scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python or Linux shell.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (certification a plus).
