Non-Financial Risk Specialist (1 LoD)

About the role

ING is evolving its organisation for non-financial risk, control and resilience activities and is looking for a pragmatic risk professional who can work independently within established procedures. As NFR Specialist you will contribute to risk and control activities across an international stakeholder landscape, with the exact portfolio evolving as the future organisation and service scope are defined.

Key responsibilities

• Risk and control management: take ownership of activities, follow procedures and contribute to identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating non-financial risks.
• Interpret and apply policies, standards and regulatory requirements within established procedures.
• Analyse information, identify trends and prepare clear reports for stakeholders.
• Advise on policies and procedures, resolve queries and escalate complex matters.
• Support quality initiatives, improvements and agreed changes, and share knowledge with colleagues.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent.
• Typically 3 to 6 years of experience in non-financial risk, business control, compliance, resilience, consulting, transformation or a related field.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures and in international, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of risk management techniques and relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
• Experience interpreting and applying policies, standards or frameworks and improving processes and controls.
• Analytical skills, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
