Layout Engineer – Waste-to-X Projects

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Layout Engineer to support the design and implementation of waste‑to‑X projects. The role involves translating project data into detailed 3‑D layouts, ensuring compliance with specifications and supporting on‑site installation. You will work closely with system and process engineers across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project meetings and provide timely data and specification input.
• Manage RFQ and purchase order documentation and monitor supplier obligations.
• Collaborate with system, process engineers and planners, attending internal project meetings.
• Develop system layouts within budget, interpret P&ID diagrams and integrate them into E3D.
• Prepare technical specifications such as BOQ, pipe and valve lists, and isometric drawings, and verify supplier documentation.
• Support the site team during erection and installation while adhering to HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Energy or EfW sectors with knowledge of piping, equipment, steel structures and civil works.
• Proven ability to independently develop and optimise systems and strong understanding of P&ID diagrams.
• Proficiency in English and Slovak (minimum B2 level); additional languages are a plus.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and detail‑orientation skills.

Required skills

• E3D or similar 3‑D CAD tools (AutoCAD 3D, SmartPlant).
• Reading and interpreting P&ID diagrams.
• MS Office proficiency.
