Electrical Engineer – MV/LV Systems Design

About the role

Design and engineer medium‑voltage (MV) and low‑voltage (LV) electrical systems for industrial and power‑generation projects, contributing to the transformation of waste into valuable energy and products.

Key responsibilities

• Size and specify transformers, MV/LV switchgear, motor control centers, busbar systems and distribution boards.
• Lead E‑house layout design and coordinate switchgear rooms, battery rooms, cable basements and HVAC equipment rooms.
• Coordinate interfaces with instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil and automation disciplines, as well as suppliers and third‑party inspectors.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, site testing, FAT/SAT and start‑up activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Technical College degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with MV systems up to 36 kV and LV systems up to 690 V.
• Familiarity with IEC standards (60076, 61439, 62271, 60364, 61936).
• Experience with protection relays (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, IEC 61850), motor starting methods, VFDs, UPS and DC battery systems.
• Proficiency in electrical engineering tools such as EPLAN (Siemens SIMARIS a plus) and strong written/spoken English.

Required skills

• MV/LV electrical system design and equipment sizing.
• IEC standards application (60076, 61439, 62271, 60364, 61936).
• Protection relay configuration (Siemens DIGSI, IEC 61850).
• Motor starting, VFDs, UPS and DC battery system expertise.
• EPLAN software proficiency (Siemens SIMARIS a plus).
