Cooling Senior Engineer I – Mechanical Systems Design

About the role

The Cooling Senior Engineer I will join Schneider Electric’s Regional Support Platform in Bratislava, focusing on both pre‑order and post‑order activities for E‑house (O&G & MMM) and data‑center projects. The role blends technical solution design, calculations, and delivery of best‑in‑class cooling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design airflow and cooling solutions for data‑centers and E‑houses, including chilled‑water, in‑room, in‑row, in‑rack, DX and evaporative free‑cooling technologies.
• Produce mechanical/electrical drawings, technical sub‑mittals, calculation reports, testing & commissioning documentation, and O&M manuals.
• Participate in customer design meetings, act as Schneider Electric representative, and support project managers and technical leaders.
• Define RFQ scopes, coordinate third‑party quotes, and lead cooling assessment surveys.
• Track costs, create quotation tools, and ensure quality and HSE compliance of all studies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing HVAC or cooling systems for E‑houses or data‑centers.
• Proven ability to perform thermal‑load calculations, equipment selection and CFD simulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2/C1); additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % within the EMEAS region and hold a valid driving licence (Category B).
