Junior Financial Accounting Associate (Hybrid)

About the role

Join Swiss Re’s Intra‑Group Reinsurance (IGR) team as a Junior Financial Accounting Associate. You will gain hands‑on experience with core financial processes, support the lifecycle of IGR transactions, and collaborate with finance, risk, treasury and audit teams across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Support quarterly financial production for IGR transactions, adhering to timelines and guidelines.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining IGR contracts in finance systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare financial results, perform reconciliations and basic validations for reporting.
• Execute standard accounting and reporting activities in line with internal controls.
• Participate in system enhancements and user‑acceptance testing under guidance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Detail‑oriented, eager to learn and able to manage multiple tasks with support.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established processes.

Required skills

• Basic experience with accounting or reporting systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS (nice to have).
