IT Desktop Support Technician

About the role

The company is looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site infrastructure support in Tranava, Slovakia. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and operating system problems for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Perform smart‑hand activities such as installing, configuring and maintaining LAN/WAN equipment, routers, switches, firewalls and cabling.
• Handle ticketing via ServiceNow or Remedy, conduct repeat‑call analysis and develop preventive actions.
• Maintain basic administration of Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support experience.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and work independently or within a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and customer‑focused attitude.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field and CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

Required skills

• Hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, keyboards, mice).
• Network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
• Operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Smart‑hand support for networking gear and data‑termination panels.
• Ticketing systems: ServiceNow, Remedy.
• Vendor certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) are a plus.
