Data Quality Specialist

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Data Quality Specialist in Bratislava to support its data governance and data quality frameworks within Group Data Services. The role sits at the intersection of business and technology, promoting data quality and issue management practices, owning relationships with key stakeholders, resolving data issues, evolving data quality tooling and tracking key indicators. It suits an early-career professional wanting hands-on exposure to enterprise-wide data governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the central data quality assurance and data issue management frameworks and solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Execute data quality control processes and help monitor data quality across systems.
• Collect and analyse data for the Data Quality KPI framework to measure and improve data quality standards.
• Support the evolution of data quality and governance tools.
• Work with Tech and Business stakeholders to implement data quality standards and resolve data issues.
• Promote a culture of data quality through documentation, training materials and day-to-day support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field.
• Previous experience in data management, data quality or related areas.
• Foundational understanding of IT systems and data concepts, able to bridge technical topics with business needs.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and motivated to learn data governance, data quality and data issue management.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Understanding of data quality concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
• Nice to have: SQL or other data query languages, data visualization tools, knowledge of financial or insurance data, and knowledge of data management regulatory requirements.

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 2,400 to EUR 4,100 per month for a full-time role, adjusted to the candidate's profile.
