Validation Engineer

About the role

Convatec is expanding its validation team at the Michalovce facility to support a growing number of new projects. The Validation Engineer will ensure manufacturing processes are validated, documented and compliant with SOPs, enabling the first production runs and guaranteeing product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Understand process risks and define appropriate validation steps.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional departments to keep validation activities on schedule.
• Re‑validate processes according to the project timeline.
• Review and update all validation procedures and related documentation.
• Write validation reports using existing templates and maintain machine cards.
• Support multidisciplinary investigations of process failures.
• Apply basic statistical analysis to process data when required.
• Provide regular status updates to the manager and project leader.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial production (internship acceptable).
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and a strong willingness to learn.
• Team player with good communication skills in English.
• Technical background in manufacturing or related engineering discipline.

Required skills

• Process validation methodology.
• Risk assessment tools such as PFMEA.
• Basic statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with QMS systems and root‑cause analysis tools.
