Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Heating & Cooling Systems

About the role

SWEP, a global supplier of heat transfer technology and part of the Dover Corporation family, is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to develop its business in Western Slovakia. This is not a traditional account management role: the postholder must understand technical products, enjoy developing new business and turn customer challenges into commercial opportunities. The role is field-based and covers a territory in Western Slovakia.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of developing SWEP's business in Western Slovakia, working with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors and industrial customers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and proactively approach new customers.
• Understand customer applications and technical challenges and develop solutions together with SWEP's technical specialists.
• Manage opportunities from first contact through negotiation and closing, and grow existing accounts while developing new ones.
• Visit customers regularly and independently manage your territory.

Required profile

• Experience in technical B2B sales, sales engineering or business development.
• A strong hunter mentality and experience developing new customers.
• Experience working with OEMs, industrial customers and/or distributors.
• Confidence discussing solutions with engineers and technical decision-makers.
• Fluent Slovak and strong English; willingness to travel regularly across the territory.

Required skills

• Ability to sell technical products or engineered solutions to industrial customers.
• Background in pumps, compressors, filtration, refrigeration, cooling systems, industrial machinery, automation, mechanical components, process equipment, energy technology or another technical B2B environment (ideally).
