Supply Chain Backlog Management Specialist

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Supply Chain Backlog Management Specialist in Bratislava. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office. It acts as the main link between Customer Experience and Operations and the Supply Chain teams, managing order backlogs to keep orders flowing and revenue on track.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first escalation point for critical customer orders and the main liaison between Customer Experience and Operations and Supply Chain.
• Manage both proactive and reactive order backlogs to ensure smooth fulfillment and revenue achievement.
• Monitor and share order status updates, giving visibility from order validation through shipment.
• Run regular stakeholder meetings with regional teams to align on order information and resolve challenges.
• Partner with manufacturing and logistics teams to expedite priority orders and support on-time deliveries.
• Identify and remove order blockers so orders are shipment-ready.
• Provide dedicated support for strategic accounts.
• Analyze backlog trends and performance data to spot risks, priorities and improvement opportunities.
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues and help with onboarding and training.

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree may be held.
• Typically 4-6 years of experience in a supply chain function.
• Experience in supply chain, order management, operations or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.

Required skills

• End-to-end supply chain knowledge, including planning, sourcing, manufacturing and delivery.
• Data-driven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Understanding of MRP and ATP concepts.
