Senior Business Control Officer

About the role

As a Senior Business Control Officer you will lead non‑financial risk management for ING Analytics (INGA). You will identify, assess and monitor operational and compliance risks, ensuring they are kept within the organisation’s risk appetite while supporting informed decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute applicable policies, frameworks and controls for INGA, creating evidence and obtaining required approvals.
• Coordinate Key Control Monitoring (KCM), including planning, sample selection, reporting and result review.
• Lead the design, execution and follow‑up of entity‑level Risk and Control Self‑Assessments (RCSA).
• Conduct gap analyses and ad‑hoc risk assessments for new or updated control standards, tools and processes.
• Engage with stakeholders across risk parties and INGA management, providing expert advice on non‑financial risk matters.
• Prepare and present scope of work for NFRC meetings and contribute to BCO‑related initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk management practices, report findings and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Strong banking experience in risk management, consulting or technology‑related environments.
• Proven ability to manage operational and compliance risks and to work within a structured risk framework.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex risk issues and propose practical solutions.
