Interim Finance Manager – Automotive Plant (Slovakia)

About the role

Our client, an international automotive manufacturer, seeks an experienced Interim Finance Manager to lead all finance and accounting activities for its Slovak production plant. The role will be a key part of the plant leadership team, providing financial guidance, reporting and business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all financial activities of the Slovak entity, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Slovak statutory accounting regulations and IFRS corporate reporting requirements.
• Coordinate year‑end closing, external audits and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Drive annual budget preparation, periodic forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor plant financial performance, cost of manufacturing, inventory valuation and cost accounting processes.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working‑capital optimisation.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, HR and Purchasing to improve financial performance.
• Maintain robust internal controls, financial governance and oversee capital‑expenditure approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Plant Controller or Chief Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive industry experience is a strong advantage.
• Deep knowledge of Slovak statutory accounting and IFRS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation and working‑capital management.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Excellent business‑partnering skills with plant operations.
• Fluent English; Slovak language skills are a significant advantage.
