Senior Business Consultant – Technology Consulting (German Projects)

About the role

PwC's advisory team in Bratislava, working closely with PwC Germany, supports transformation projects in the financial services sector. As a Senior Business Consultant for technology consulting (German projects), you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, mainly banks, insurance companies and investment firms in Germany. You will analyse, design, coordinate and deliver digital and technology-enabled transformation projects, working with senior client stakeholders and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design, coordinate and deliver digital and technology-enabled transformation projects, taking ownership of workstreams and contributing to delivery planning, project governance and stakeholder alignment in agile or hybrid environments.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, structured requirements and solution designs.
• Support projects such as digital lending and customer journey transformation, and core banking modernisation and platform transformation.
• Gradually grow into broader leadership responsibilities.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering or a comparable field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in consulting, technology consulting or digital transformation, preferably in banking, insurance or other regulated industries.
• Proven delivery-oriented experience, including Business Analyst, project governance, agile transformation, product/service coordination and consulting roles with strong stakeholder interaction.
• Experience working across business and IT teams at different seniority levels.
• German at B2-C1 and English at C1 level.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of technology-enabled business transformation, including business and data analytics, automation, agile delivery, digital platforms, SDLC and IT-supported business processes.
• Ability to analyse, structure and simplify complex topics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in international, cross-functional teams.
• Proactive use of AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Power BI.
