Senior Accountant – Real Estate (Temporary)

About the role

The General Ledger Accounting Services team is seeking a Senior Accountant on a temporary basis to support accounting, reporting, and closing activities for assigned real‑estate entities and portfolios. You will ensure accurate, complete, and timely accounting of real‑estate transactions in line with IFRS and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes for real‑estate assets.
• Account for construction projects, asset capitalization, depreciation, accruals and inter‑company transactions.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, profit‑and‑loss analyses and portfolio reporting, explaining significant variances.
• Coordinate with Asset Management, Project Managers and external service providers to deliver timely financial information.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, support statutory reporting, audits and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement, automation and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Handle ad‑hoc accounting, reporting and analysis tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or real‑estate accounting.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting controls, reconciliations and reporting processes.

Required skills

• SAP or other financial accounting systems.
• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel.
• Data‑analytics and automation tools.
• Familiarity with AI assistants such as Copilot or ChatGPT.
