SAP DM Solution Architect (m/f/d)

About the role

Syntax is looking for a SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern manufacturing execution solutions for global manufacturers. You will work closely with customers to digitalise shop‑floor processes, integrate production systems with enterprise applications, and deliver real‑time manufacturing insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP DM solutions across diverse manufacturing industries.
• Analyse shop‑floor processes and translate business requirements into scalable digital manufacturing architectures.
• Configure SAP DM capabilities such as production execution, order management, traceability, quality management and resource coordination.
• Integrate SAP DM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP and shop‑floor systems, including machines, IoT devices and automation platforms.
• Develop data‑driven manufacturing scenarios for real‑time monitoring, analytics and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate customer workshops, gather requirements and create implementation roadmaps.
• Participate in end‑to‑end project delivery, from design and testing to go‑live and hyper‑care.
• Support presales activities with demonstrations, solution architecture design and effort estimation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Digital Manufacturing solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing or related SAP manufacturing technologies (e.g., SAP ME, SAP MII).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production logistics and shop‑floor integration.
• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA manufacturing data flows.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT integration.
