Principal System Engineering

About the role

This position provides senior-level systems engineering leadership for enterprise database administration platforms, internal tools and compliance-related applications. It ensures reliable application operations, modernizes automation and delivery processes, strengthens security and access controls, and keeps critical database administration support tools aligned with business, operational, audit and regulatory requirements. The role is a senior technical contributor who works independently on complex assignments and influences technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Own and support database administration applications, internal tools and platforms, including operational stability, lifecycle management, documentation, governance, certifications and performance monitoring.
• Lead or support migration of legacy tools and workflows to approved enterprise platforms, and adopt modern automation and CI/CD capabilities integrated with service management, identity and access management platforms.
• Coordinate security remediation, access reviews, compliance evidence collection, audit support, control validation, vulnerability response and governance activities.
• Design, develop and maintain scripts, workflows, integrations and internal tools that improve efficiency and supportability.
• Support disaster recovery testing, recovery control validation, troubleshooting, process documentation, operational reporting and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
• Typically 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, application support, platform ownership, automation, DevOps, access governance, security remediation, audit compliance or enterprise technology operations.
• Experience with Oracle database environments, database administration tools or Oracle-related enterprise platforms preferred.
• Works independently, collaborates with application, security, audit, identity and service management teams, and guides peers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Preferred: scripting and workflow automation, CI/CD tools and practices, enterprise service management platforms, identity and access management processes, compliance controls and audit support, disaster recovery testing, application lifecycle management.
• Certifications may be required or preferred depending on business needs.

What we offer

• Salary range of EUR 58,400 to EUR 87,600 per year, depending on geography, experience, expertise and education.
• 40 hours per week.
