Part-Time Student Assistant, Group Communications & SRI Operations

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a university student to join its Group Communications, Public Affairs and Swiss Re Institute (SRI) Operations team in Bratislava. Working 50% of the time, you will support financial, operational and administrative tasks such as purchase orders, invoice management and events, while contributing to side projects. The role is hybrid, with at least half the working time spent in the Bratislava office, and the expected start date is 1 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Create and track purchase orders
• Support the preparation of accruals and cost allocations
• Support the onboarding of new vendors and maintain the process
• Track invoices and follow up on their status
• Maintain accurate information in internal databases
• Support administrative activities across the function
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects

Required profile

• University student, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Finance or accounting experience is an advantage
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and follow-up on tight deadlines
• Pragmatic communicator, proactive problem solver with good people skills
• Flexible and open to new tasks and challenges

Required skills

• Written and spoken English
• Very good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking

What we offer

• Minimum base salary of 7 EUR gross per hour, depending on skills and experience
• 12-month contract at 50% working percentage, aligned with study commitments
