Lead Solution Architect – DevOps & Microsoft Azure (German required)

About the role

Join the team at Operational Services GmbH, part of Deutsche Telekom Systems Solutions Slovakia, and work on cutting‑edge ICT services for the German market. This position is ideal for German‑speaking professionals who want to design, develop and operate Microsoft‑based cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and support ICT components, cloud solutions and applications.
• Act as senior technical expert and lead architect for Microsoft and Azure‑based solutions.
• Coordinate and improve 3rd‑level environment activities to meet KPIs.
• Build, consult and implement public, private, hybrid and multi‑cloud architectures with a focus on Azure.
• Support migrations of IT infrastructures and software to Azure and manage related projects.
• Provide consulting and advisory services on IT, cloud and DevOps architecture.
• Mentor and train co‑workers, spread knowledge and build internal competencies.
• Research and adopt new technologies, automation methods and cost‑optimization measures.
• Manage relationships with key vendors, especially Microsoft.

Required profile

• Fluent German (B2‑C1) and good English (B2‑C1).
• Master’s or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Microsoft products (Windows Server, Hyper‑V, Active Directory, Azure, Azure Stack, MS SQL Server, O365, Dynamics 365).
• Strong expertise in Microsoft licensing and solution design in an outsourcing environment.
• Solid knowledge of virtualization, networking, operating systems and security.
• Proven experience with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and DevOps practices.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSD or other cloud/DevOps certifications.
• Project management, quality management and financial literacy.
• Leadership, presentation, negotiation, mentoring and training abilities.
