Junior Buyer – Procurement

About the role

Covestro is looking for a Junior Buyer in Bratislava to handle day-to-day procurement operations, including issue resolution and supplier management, across several process areas. The position suits fresh graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers according to the Operational Sourcing Procedure, within quality and time constraints.
• Track and follow up purchase orders and deliveries to ensure security of supply.
• Document work in SAP.
• Manage import licenses and end-use certificates for the relevant raw materials.
• Help resolve availability issues with requisitioners and planners.
• Coordinate delivery and quality non-conformities with the relevant plant stakeholders.
• Support root cause analysis of invoice non-conformities.
• Follow up escalations on planning, quality and accounts payable to maintain good commercial relations with the supply base.
• Manage supplier performance on time and in full, and resolve major supply issues and complaints with Category Management / Sourcing.

Required profile

• High school or university degree, or equivalent experience; suitable for fresh graduates.
• Active written and spoken English; Spanish is an advantage.
• Self-disciplined, customer-oriented, with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic experience with SAP and other typical IT tools is a plus.

What we offer

• A minimum base salary of 1550 EUR, which can be higher depending on skills and previous experience.
