Country Finance Manager

About the role

Deel is seeking a Country Finance Manager to lead all financial activities within a specific market. This senior position will be responsible for overseeing accounting, tax compliance, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring the business scales efficiently and remains compliant with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and develop all financial functions in the country, including accounting, tax compliance, and reporting.
• Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, intercompany banking, customers, vendors, and accruals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date books, monitor day‑to‑day transactions, and drive improvements in period‑end closing.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax authorities, social security, insurance, and pension requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with proven experience managing accounting, tax, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to scale finance operations in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external regulators.
