Backend Software Engineer (Python)

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our Enterprise Identity Verification team and work on our enterprise identity verification solution, delivered as both SaaS and on‑premise deployments. You’ll drive technical decisions, own domain initiatives end‑to‑end, and mentor fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise eKYC system for identity verification and compliance workflows.
• Design and implement reliable, durable verification workflows.
• Develop high‑performance REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Integrate document verification, biometric authentication and fraud‑detection APIs.
• Create data‑validation pipelines to satisfy KYC/AML and GDPR regulations.
• Ensure security, scalability and high availability of the system.
• Collaborate with product, platform and business‑analysis teams.
• Maintain code quality through testing, type hints and peer reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI or similar API frameworks.
• Solid understanding of async Python (asyncio) and distributed‑system concepts.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL query optimisation and schema design.
• Experience building and maintaining micro‑services architectures.
• Proficiency with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong REST API design skills (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Understanding of SaaS architecture principles and multi‑tenancy patterns.
