Accounting Department Intern

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services for the life sciences industry, is looking for an intern in its Accounting Department in Bratislava. The intern supports accounting tasks for assigned sponsor studies, including reconciliations, journal entries and quality reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile the SAP Grant Payment Report to the Excel Grant Payment Report for assigned sponsors' studies, and the total GPS Sponsor balance to the Corporate Sponsor Balance monthly, under SSAE16 controls
• Accurately complete all necessary journal entries as assigned
• Quality review CTA and Payment Intake form setups to choose the right SAP vendor and payment method, including bank entry validation for the Accounting department
• Complete the SharePoint tracker for assigned sponsors
• Assist annually with 1099 and other country tax reporting as assigned
• Help maintain the vendor database in SAP and support SOP maintenance as required
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in progress
• Verbal and written communication skills suitable for a professional workplace
• Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
