Test Engineer – Power Electronics & Mechatronics Lab

About the role

We are creating a state‑of‑the‑art Power Electronics & Mechatronics Laboratory of over 600 m² and need a proactive Test Engineer to keep the facility running smoothly. You will work directly with engineers, develop test programs, and support prototype validation using cutting‑edge equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automatic parametric test programs for Keithley test systems.
• Configure, operate, and automate measurements with B1500/B1505 analyzers, ACDC/DCDC high‑voltage sources, Keithley HV‑SMUs and semi‑automatic probers.
• Design new test methods, build custom hardware, fixtures and tooling.
• Fabricate mechanical/electrical test setups for prototype validation.
• Create and maintain ATE test routines and automation scripts.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to device physicists, electrical/mechanical engineers and cross‑functional test teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on technical experience in power‑device testing (SiC, GaN, Si).
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Programming: C++, C#, Python (for ATE development).
• Experience with Keithley test systems, B1500/B1505 analyzers, high‑voltage power supplies, HV‑SMUs and semi‑automatic probers.
• Design and fabrication of custom test hardware and fixtures.
• CAD tools: SolidWorks, FreeCAD.
• 3D printing and mechanical/electrical tooling.
• Microsoft Office and basic statistics.
