Senior Software Engineer - Webex Native Client

About the role

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for its Webex Native Client in Bratislava. The team builds products such as Webex Meetings, Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center, and works closely with UX design and product management in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver and maintain end-user features used by millions of people worldwide.
• Own architectural decisions in your domain and break complex product requirements into clear technical designs.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, reviews and feedback.
• Partner with product managers and designers to influence roadmap decisions.
• Listen to customer feedback and lead investigations and improvements.
• Champion the use of AI tools across the team and set high standards for code quality and reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-grade software in complex environments.
• Experience contributing to architecture and design discussions and influencing technical direction.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers, product partners and stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality, including test strategy, code reviews and operational readiness.

Required skills

• Preferred: end-to-end development with languages such as C++, Swift, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java or Python.
• Preferred: UI frameworks such as Qt, Cocoa, React or Angular.
• Preferred: back-end with Java (Spring), RESTful APIs, WebSockets and distributed systems.
• Preferred: strong experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing, including contract testing and CI/CD automation.
• Preferred: Git, DevOps, continuous integration and delivery, and experience across Windows, macOS, Linux and Web platforms.

The starting salary range for new hires is EUR 40,900 to EUR 57,900, depending on location, experience and qualifications.
