Enterprise Architect for AWS (m/f/d)

About the role

Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is looking for an Enterprise Architect for its AWS team in Hyperscaler Managed Services. The role is accountable for developing and optimizing IT architecture at enterprise level: analyzing customer and technical requirements, designing implementation concepts and taking ownership of their delivery. It is a full-time position based in Košice.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive Deutsche Telekom's architecture standards, methodologies and service offerings, and act as technical leader across customer engagements and internal initiatives.
• Define migration and modernization strategies for enterprise customers, lead complex cloud transformation projects and serve as trusted advisor for cloud adoption and operating model transformation.
• Design target cloud architectures and landing zones, build and maintain production systems on AWS (ALB, ELB, WAF, S3, Serverless, APIs, Route53) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation).
• Approve high-impact customer solutions and support architecture decisions across networking, security, operations, automation and cloud-native services.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps and platform engineering, and lead AI-assisted migration assessment and delivery automation.
• Support pre-sales engagements, solution workshops, deal reviews and architecture boards, and contribute to business cases, proposals and roadmaps.
• Mentor architects, engineers and consultants, establish architecture communities, and act as escalation point for complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional IT experience with a strong focus on cloud transformation and enterprise architecture.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Comfortable managing technical stakeholders from engineering teams up to executive leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies and automation platforms is considered an advantage.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in AWS, virtualization, infrastructure, networking, security and managed services.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps and platform engineering.
• Understanding of operating models, landing zones, governance frameworks and enterprise cloud adoption strategies.
