Senior Software Engineer – Generative AI

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer – genAI you will join Cat Digital’s engineering team in Košice, delivering generative AI solutions for Caterpillar’s global customers. You will work in an agile environment, handling implementation, maintenance and support of high‑impact AI‑driven products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy generative AI solutions using Python, OOP principles and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel and Crew.ai.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and manage deployments on AWS via CloudFormation.
• Build and expose services with FastAPI on AWS, integrating with SageMaker, Lambda, API Gateway and RDS.
• Assist in creating machine‑learning pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership in Slovakia and Cat Digital IT teams in the United States.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of software development life‑cycle and ability to deliver software products that meet requirements.
• Experience designing and building applications in Python (and optionally GoLang) following OOP principles.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) in medium to large teams and technical writing skills.
