Senior PHP Software Developer

About the role

DigiHUB Mare, the application development unit of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia, is looking for a Senior Software Developer with PHP. The unit builds applications for German end customers and employees of Deutsche Telekom Technik, Field Service and Service, and for technical solutions supporting customer-side processes. The role covers the whole software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to delivering functional code.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of front-end interfaces and back-end logic for DTT
• Design and build front-end assistants (robots), SOAP and REST interfaces, customer UIs and system overlays
• Develop applications and functionalities defined in tickets together with the steering team and Product Owner
• Analyse requirements and communicate with internal stakeholders
• Take part in R&D projects, code reviews and quality checks
• Share knowledge, document best practices and mentor less experienced colleagues

Required profile

• Several years of experience in the IT industry
• Good knowledge of development principles such as SOLID, DRY, KISS and YAGNI
• Advanced experience with programming and application design
• Experience migrating legacy applications to new codebases and PHP versions
• Experience with asynchronous processing (cron jobs, queues)
• Experience designing, modifying and debugging CI/CD pipelines
• Good integration skills, solid Git and GitLab use, and understanding of cloud systems and DevOps concepts
• English at upper-intermediate (B2); German is a plus

• React
• PHPUnit, Vitest; Puppeteer / Selenium (nice to have)
• Nice to have: Python, C++, Golang, Rust
